Top teams from Africa for the Chess Olympiad 2024

There will be a total of 49 African nations at the Chess Olympiad 2024 that starts in Budapest this September 10.

In the open section top seeded is the team of Egypt with Adham Fawzy, Kareim Wageih, Hamed Wafa, and Sameh Sadek. They are closely followed by a team recently featured on Chessdom – South Africa with Daniel Barrish, Jan Karsten, Caleb Levi Levitan, Banele Mhango, Daniel Cawdery. Third seeded is Algeria with Adlane Arab at board 1, while fourth is the team of Zimbabwe with Farai Mandizha.
