The chess engine Nirvana is sole leader of Stage 1b of TCEC. It collected 4,5/5 points after defeating Gaviota, The Baron, Jellyfish and Delphil, and drawing with Fire.
Nirvana is closely followed by last year’s silver medalist Stockfish. The rating favorite had a difficult start after drawing Vajolet and Chiron, but quickly recovered with wins against Naum, Arasan and Fruit. Stockfish shares the second position with Andscacs and Jonny, all with 4,0/5.
