The 2023 Dutch Championship is a 13-player knockout taking place in Utrecht from July 2-9. The Dutch no. 1 Anish Giri as well as Jorden van Foreest and Erwin l’Ami get a bye through to Round 2. Each match consists of two classical games, with 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. If the score is 1:1, blitz tiebreaks will be played.
