FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 – Press Conference

FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 opens tomorrow in Madrid and the Round 1 kicks off in two days with the following encounters: Duda – Rapport, Ding Liren – Nepomniachtchi, Caruana – Nakamura, Radjabov – Firouzja. Deputy Minister of Sports for the regional government at Comunidad de Madrid Alberto Tome Gonzalez, FIDE Managing Director Dana Reizniece-Ozola and GM Fabiano Caruana today attended the 2022 Candidates Press Conference.

Along with Fabiano Caruana, Teimour Radjabov also arrived in Madrid, while Ding Liren has just started his travel from China and is expected to be the last player to arrive for the Candidates Tournament. Jan-Krzysztof Duda shared what his final preparation looks like, showing he is ready for the heat wave in Madrid.
