The 21st edition of the IPCA World Individual Chess Championship 2022 takes place from 8-17 May in Ashdod, Israel.
28 physically disabled chess players – men, women and juniors (2002 year of birth and younger) compete in the 9 rounds swiss tournament, fighting for the total prize fund of 5.500e. The winner among men, women, and players in wheelchairs will obtain the right to participate in the IPCA team at the FIDE World Chess Olympiad 2022.
