The 1st event on the $2 Million 2023 Champions Chess Tour – Aithings Masters took place from 6-10 February on chess.com. The event was played in 3 Divisions of 8, 16 and 32 players with the Grand Final seeing the clash between the Winners of the Winners and Losers brackets – Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura.

World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen opened the match with a very important crushing victory. With the rest of the games finishing in a draw, Magnus Carlsen won the Champions Chess Tour Airthings Masters 2023 and pocketed $30,000, 150 CCT tour points, securing his seat into Division I of the next Champions Chess Tour event.
