Hungary ready for the European Team Chess Championships

Mr. Laszlo Rudolf has kindly informed us about the Hungarian lineups for the European Team Chess Championship in Porto Carras, Greece.

Judit Polgar will not compete but Ferenc Berkes returns into the team after skipping the World Chess Team Championship 2011 in Ningbo for unknown reasons.

Men: Lékó Péter, Almási Zoltán, Berkes Ferenc, Balogh Csaba, Gyimesi Zoltán
Capitan: Horváth Tamás

Women: Hoang Thanh Trang, Mádl Ildikó, Rudolf Anna, Gara Tícia, Gara Anita
Capitan: Dr. Hazay László

Armenia, Ukraine, Greece, Germany, England, Iceland, Serbia, Montenegro are also announced on Chessdom. More teams will follow in the coming days.

Irish Chess Union: “Unfortunately, there were not enough people interested in playing in the European Team Championships in November, and therefore the ICU will not be sending a team.”
