The Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid hosted the Opening ceremony of the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022. The ceremony featured speeches of distinguished guests and FIDE representatives, as well as the artists’ performances. The famous Chilean singer and songwriter Juga di Prima premiered her new song “Open Files”. The host of the night was the famous Spanish Grandmaster Miguel Illescas.
FIDE presented the official promo video for the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 during the ceremony. After speeches of distinguished guests and Juga’s performance, the FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich declared the event officially Open.
