Kazakhstan Women’s Chess Championship 2022

The 2022 Kazakhstan Women’s Chess Championship will be held from 1st – 12th December in Semey at the Cultural and sports complex “Abay Arena”, simultaneously with the Kazakhstan Open Chess Championship 2022.

It will be an 11-player round-robin tournament with WIM Meruert Kamalidenova as the top seed. The field includes WIM Assel Serikbay, WIM Amina Kairbekova, WIM Nazerke Nurgali, WIM Xeniya Balabayeva, WIM Alua Nurmanova, WFM Zarina Nurgaliyeva, WIM Zeinep Sultanbek, Kristina Popandopulo, Ayaulym Kaldarova and WFM Elnaz Kaliakhmet. The total prize fund of the event is ~5000 euros with ~1600 euros reserved for the new Kazakhstan Women’s Chess Champion.
