President of FIDE Women’s Commission Eva Repkova is stepping down

FIDE Women’s Commission is undergoing changes. The President of WOM Eva Repkova, together with the secretary of WOM Christelle Jager Hafstad, are stepping down from their respective positions in the commission.

In an open letter they explain, “It is with great regret that we have taken this difficult decision, especially in the light of the successful developments and execution of various initiatives by our Commission under the umbrella of the Year of Woman in chess and the great support we received from you across the globe to make the fulfillment of these objectives possible.”
