Zurab Azmaiparashvili re-elected ECU President

Zurab Azmaiparashvili (Georgia) is re-elected President of the European Chess Union for another term of four years.

In the ECU General Assembly that was held in Batumi the Presidential Ticket of Zurab Azmaiparashvili got 44 votes out of 50 present federations. 4 ballots were blank and 2 invalid.

Members of the ticket also elected into office are:
Deputy President Gunnar Bjornsson (ISL)
Secretary General Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou (GRE)
Vice President Dana Reizniece-Ozola (LAT)
Vice President Johann Poecksteiner (AUT)
Treasurer Ion-Serban Dobronauteanu (ROM)

Individually elected Vice Presidents are:
Eva Repkova (SVK)
Ivan Sokolov (NED)
Adrian Mikhalchishin (SLO)

Elected for four European seats in the FIDE Executive Board are:
Anastasia Sorokina (BLR)
Alojzije Jankovic (CRO)
Petr Pisk (CZE)
Ozgur Solakoglu (TUR)
