The last appearance of Magnus Carlsen as World Champion

Magnus Carlsen was one of the stars of the Breakthrough Prize. There he presents a prize for theoretical computer science and math, together with Lily Collins, to Daniel Spielman. Daniel Spielman’s algorithms are used for computing, signal processing, design of clinical trials and many more applications. Carlsen appears after min 33 in the video.

This is the last public appearance of Magnus Carlsen as a World Chess Championship. He will be dethroned after 10 years of reign this April, after he he decided not to defend his title.
