The World Chess Championship 2024 will be a 14 games match between the reigning world champion Ding Liren and the challenger Gukesh D to determine the World Chess Champion. The match is scheduled to take place between November 23 and December 15, 2024, with Singapore hosting the top event of the year. Google is the title sponsor of the World Chess Championship 2024
Both Ding Liren and Gukesh are participating in the Chess Olympiad. India had no problems with Iceland. China defeated Chile 3,5:0,5 but that draw was special for Chile and for GM Cristobal Henriquez because it was against the World Champion GM Ding Liren himself.
