Everything is ready for the start of the most anticipated tournament of 2022 – the FIDE Candidates Chess. The Opening Press Conference announced the start of the competition which will be officially opened tonight at 19:00 CET. “Madrid is already breathing chess” explained the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of FIDE David Llada seeing chess legends walking down Madrid’s streets. Llada spotted legendary Serbian grandmaster Ljubomir Ljubojevic nearby hotel, who traveled to Madrid together with Richard Rapport. (video below)
